it's hard to believe it hasn't even been a week since i update!
i'm cool guys. I had a good talk with my dad...most of you guys have facebook so most of you guys have read the most recent updates. sorry xanga people...get facebook.......jk....

anyway...i'm so calm right now it's amazing. God is good.

ready for some amazing things! lol...maybe not quite amazing...but still pretty cool. i still can't find that dumb cord.

That is what they say here, because they have taken land back from the sea over periods of time. It is amazing here! Everyone speaks at least four languages and we have breakfast, tea, lunch, tea and dinner. You are never hungry. Yesterday we went on a boat ride and my father helped hoist the sails. It is chilly and now everyone has the sniffles or a cough. I just wish my mom could be with us.

I have been taking lots of pictures so do not worry about getting a full update when I get back. Today we are going to take a walk in the woods and stay indoors most of the time because it is rainy and cold. But boy is it cozy inside!! The house we are staying in is very beautiful and about 400 years old. Tomorrow is my father's defense and we all have butterflies in our stomachs! Right now it is about 11:00 am. So it is late afternoon over there in the U.S.

Well...i would post some icons but I feel kinda bad using their computer for too long. I hope this isn't a terribly long xanga update.

I love you guys! oh and for the ones who live in texas, please check on my mom now and then. My aunt is taking care of her so if you could just sometimes call to make sure she's ok.

so i'm going to europe on the 8th!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to represent my dad when he defends his dissertation. I'm going to be dressed in the traditional Oaxacan dress and it will be amazing!!! I'll be sure to take lots of pics.

keep praying for mom, she's going through radiation. it's been hard, but friends and family have blessed us so much.

ok so last night I felt so scared. I had never felt so scared before. My mom took a pain killer because she just couldn't take the pain anymore. My dad just was so tired and he seemed very afraid. He was crying. I wanted to be with my dad and just cry but when I saw how upset he was I felt that I couldn't. And I definitely couldn't go to my mom who is already scared and tired and overwhelmed. I was desperate. So I called my mentor and just let myself go. I hadn't cried like that in a long time. It really helped to talk with my mentor and she really reaffirmed me and made me feel better. Afterward I told my dad that we needed to fill this house with joy and prayer. We need to fill it with life, not death. My dad agreed with me, and so then and there we all went to my mom's bedside and prayed like we hadn't prayed before. Good 'n hard. And loud.
After that I felt as though new life and strength had been breathed into me! I was full of him and I slept with peace. Praise his name! I will never stop praising God. He is just so amazing and wonderful and merciful. And I am no longer afraid through him that gives me life and the strength to go on.

Prince Caspian = sweetness! i've heard about lots of things changing in the movie...and also some flirtation between caspian and susan...which i think is totally completely and atrociously stupid. If you guys feel the same way please let me know...and if you are neutral SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
